Md Tamim Hossain is a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Premier University, Chattogram. He earned his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET). Before joining Premier University, he served as an Adjunct Faculty member at the International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC).
Tamim’s current research focuses on computer vision and deep learning, particularly in developing intelligent visual systems capable of understanding, enhancing, and interpreting complex real-world scenes. His work explores methods to improve image quality under challenging conditions, design robust feature extraction techniques, and build models that can perceive and reason like humans. He aims to contribute to advancing human-centered AI, visual reasoning, and intelligent vision-based applications.
At Premier University, Tamim teaches several core courses, including Neural Networks and Fuzzy Logic, Computer Vision and Image Processing, and Software Engineering. He integrates the latest research findings into his teaching, ensuring students gain a strong foundation in theoretical concepts and practical, real-world applications. His approach emphasizes critical thinking, project-based learning, and the importance of research-driven innovation.
Beyond teaching and research, Tamim is dedicated to cultivating a strong research culture among undergraduate students. He mentors student projects and promotes participation in technical competitions, scholarly writing, and interdisciplinary research initiatives.
In the future, Tamim plans to pursue advanced research opportunities, focusing on building intelligent systems that integrate deep learning, active perception, and visual understanding to solve real-world challenges.
