Extra-Curricular Activities

Students of CSE department are involved with various activities rather than university academic programs.

The university has central sports committee which encourages students to participate in different local and national sport tournaments like cricket, football, etc. Students form different departments are selected based on the trial and the committee arranges training and practice session for the selected students. The costs and financial expenditure related to training, participation, travelling and accommodation, sport accessories, etc. are funded by the university.

In addition, annual indoor games are arranged for the teachers to improve the friendship among them.

The students publish wallpaper in regularly specially at the national occasion or event or special day. The last two wallpapers were published on the event of 21st February and 16th December. This type of wallpaper writing creates a sense of belongingness of the students to the nation, their writing skills, organization skills, etc.

There is a central debating club named Premier University Debating Society which organizes competition and training on debate. Participating students will be able to improve their communication, bargaining, and negotiation skills which will help them at their job places.

Students take part in different science and project fairs mainly in the Digital Innovation fairs organized by the District Commissioner office or Divisional Commissioner office.

Premier University encourages students to get involve in cultural activities and has established a Cultural Club in the year of 2015. Students have participated in different competitions and won different prizes since the establishment of the club. Though the club is established in 2015, students are practicing in cultural activities from 2010. They became runner-up in the Inter University Cultural Contest, 2011 organized by Wikipedia Chittagong and stood second runner-up in the contest Young Chittagong of Adommo Chattagram Festival. They became the champion in Young Festival in 2015 and 2016 successively. Besides in 2017, they became 1 ^st runner-up in cultural competition organized by Prothom-alo. In 2018, a student was awarded for mobile photography competition from Confidence Salt. Students also arrange cultural programs during the orientation and farewell program of a batch. In-house student performer and renowned artists from local and national levels are invited during these programs.     

In 2018, final year students arranged a study tour to Bandarban which effectively releases the pressure and reenergizes both the teachers and students. Also In 2019, we arranged an excursion in Cox’s Bazar for two days.

Co-curricular Activities

CSE department has a computer club which organizes programming contests, workshops, etc. The main activities of Computer club are as follows:

1. Organizing intra university programming contest each semester.
2. Participating in National Collegiate Programming Contest and International Collegiate Programming Contest each year.
3. Participating Innovation and Hackathon each year.
4. Organizing workshops, seminars etc.
