About

Nusrat Jahan Shirin is an accomplished academic and researcher currently serving as an Assistant Professor (Physics) in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Premier University, Chittagong. With a deep commitment to both teaching and research.

She graduated in Physics from the Chittagong University with a B.Sc. Honours and a M.S. (Thesis) with distinct results in both. Now she is pursuing Ph.D. degree from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET). In the past, she was a teaching faculty of Chittagong Cantonment Public College. She is a member or Life Member of a number of Scientific Associations or Organization including Bangladesh Physical Society. Her research fields include Condensed Matter Physics, Materials Science, Nanotechnology, Health Physics and Astrophysics. She is an author of several papers published in high-impact scientific journals in USA and European countries. She presented several papers in National and International Conferences or Seminars.

Nusrat Jahan Shirin is involved in teaching undergraduate students in various computer science and engineering courses at Premier University. This includes both theoretical and practical aspects of CSE subjects, aiming to provide students with a deep understanding of foundational and advanced topics in the field. As an experienced academic, she would like to contribute to the development of curriculum and course materials to keep up with the rapidly changing landscape of technology and engineering education. She is an active member of several Committees of Premier University. She is a mentor of students on academic and research-related activities, guiding them through their learning journey and helping them with projects, internships, and other academic responsibilities.
