jannattohfa@gmail.comJannat Tohfa Chowdhury is an enthusiastic researcher and academician with a focus on Mathematical Biology, Epidemiology, Dynamical Systems, and Computational and Applied Mathematics. She completed her M.S. and B.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Chittagong, where she developed a strong foundation in mathematical modeling and applied mathematics. Her master’s thesis centered on modeling cancer cell dynamics and SARS-CoV-2 virus infection within the host.
Currently, she serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Premier University, Chattogram. She has also previously worked as a Lecturer in the Department of General Education at Southern University Bangladesh. Over her career, she has taught a wide array of mathematics and statistics courses, supervised students, advised academic batches, and contributed as an active member of examination committees.
Jannat Tohfa has published research articles in reputed journals such as AIMS Mathematics and the Alexandria Engineering Journal, primarily in the areas of disease dynamics and mathematical modeling of treatment therapies. She has participated in numerous international conferences and research schools related to mathematical epidemiology and computational biology, further expanding her academic and professional network.
In addition to her academic work, she is skilled in programming with C and MATLAB, and proficient in LaTeX, Microsoft Office, and Beamer for technical writing and presentation. She was also a recipient of the National Science and Technology Fellowship.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Jannat Tohfa actively engages in organizing educational workshops, volunteering in academic and rural community events, and participating in humanitarian initiatives. With her dedication to research, education, and social impact, she continues to contribute meaningfully to the field of mathematics and interdisciplinary science.
